FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Ms. Foundas

Dear Happy Hollow Families,

Happy Spring! We are so glad to be welcoming warmer weather and longer days. This time of year often brings renewed energy in our building, and we are excited to see students enjoying time outside and engaging in their learning.

As we head into next week, we want to remind families that MCAS testing will begin for our students in grades 3–5. The schedule is as follows:
  • Tuesday, March 24 – Grade 5 ELA Session 1
  • Thursday, March 26 – Grade 5 ELA Session 2
  • Friday, March 27 – Grade 3 ELA Session 1
MCAS is just one opportunity for our students to show their learning this year, and all of our testing environments approach the work with calmness and positive mindsets.

Families can play an important role in helping students feel prepared and confident. A few simple routines can make a big difference for all K–5 students, and especially for those participating in testing:
  • Ensuring a good night’s sleep
  • Providing a healthy breakfast each morning
  • Maintaining consistent morning routines
  • Offering reassurance and encouragement
Thank you for your continued partnership. We look forward to a strong and successful week ahead!

Warmly,
Nicolette A. Foundas, Happy Hollow Principal
