Dear Happy Hollow Families,
As we wrap up another wonderful week at Happy Hollow, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support. This week was filled with joyful classroom celebrations, impressive student presentations, and excitement as we prepare for the final days of school and the start of summer.
One of the highlights of the week was our traditional Harvest Day. It was absolutely adorable to watch students enthusiastically sampling mint, chives, lettuce, parsley, and other items grown in our school gardens. Their curiosity, excitement, and willingness to try new things is always a memorable experience!
Our Move Along Day will take place this upcoming Monday. During Move Along Day, students will have an opportunity to visit with next year's grade level teachers and learn more about the exciting experiences that await them next year. As a reminder, class placement notifications will be shared with families in August, as we continue our thoughtful process of creating balanced and supportive learning communities for all students.
To help prepare students, we will preview Move Along Day during our all-school assembly on Monday morning and discuss the excitement and emotions that can come with transitions and new beginnings.
In an upcoming email next week, I will share some ideas and resources for supporting reading and math learning over the summer. This information has been developed by our interventionists and is intended to help families maintain learning in fun and engaging ways throughout the summer months.
Thank you for being such an important part of our Happy Hollow community. We hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend with your families, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday for our final days of school.
Warmly,
Nicolette Foundas
